The exhibit features over 120 items from the museum’s collection, as well as illustrations for Pushkin’s works by well-known Russian artists, including art by Mstislav Dobuzhinsky (for The Stationmaster), Boris Kustodiev (for Dubrovsky), Vasily Surikov (for The Blizzard), and Valentin Serov (for the poem The Winter Road). Also on display are works by Grigory Gagarin, Nikanor Chernetsov, Grigory Myasoedov, Vasily Maximov, Mikhail Nesterov, Konstantin Korovin, and other famous artists from the 19th–20th centuries. The items from the Stationmaster’s House Museum are a particular highlight. One of the most unique pieces is a coachman’s apron, a rare example that has survived to this day. Such utilitarian items rarely find their way into collections.
Elegant porcelain sculptures recreated at the Imperial Porcelain Factory to the theme The Peoples of Russia provide the perfect complement to the exhibition.
Group size: 15 people.
