Tour of the Grand Peterhof Palace Museum, the ceremonial residence of the Russian emperors and the architectural heart of the Peterhof Palace and Park Complex. Created as a symbol of the power and splendour of the Russian Empire, it was intended to be a Russian Versailles, a space where luxury, grandeur, and impeccable artistic taste form a unified image of imperial majesty. The interiors of the golden enfilade and the state rooms all preserve the atmosphere of the era, and are fitted out with authentic objects from the 18th–19th centuries. The palace windows offer one of the most impressive views, the view of the Grand Cascade and the Gulf of Finland, where architecture and nature form a triumphant ensemble.
