The Eurasia Digital Transport Corridor: Synchronizing Transit Flows at the Intersection of the CIS and China via a Single Digital Space

April, 2
09:00–10:30
Digitalization and the Future of Transport
Congress Centre, 2nd floor, conference hall B1
Road freight carriers account for up to 22% of the total freight turnover between Russia and China, and seamless freight transit remains a key priority for them. Transit through Central Asian countries helps lighten the load on the ‘Eastern Frontier’. All the countries in the region face similar challenges: paperwork, lengthy border delays, time-consuming inspections, and difficulties paying transit fees. The solution lies not only in infrastructure development but also in regulatory changes and the implementation of new digital technologies and solutions. What experience do Russia and Belarus have in implementing electronic consignment notes in the EAEU? What methods of combating the ‘grey’ turnover of goods are most effective? How can digitalizing border crossings shape the technological infrastructure of the future and address new challenges? How can we ensure the interoperability of digital border crossing with national platforms and customs systems? What multimodal supply chain solutions offer guaranteed end-to-end delivery?
