The Greater Eurasian Partnership: Strengthening Transport and Logistics Connectivity for Prosperity

April, 1
14:00–15:30
Global Connectivity and Transport Corridors
Congress Centre, conference hall D2
The general geopolitical turbulence in the world calls for a dialogue between the states of Eurasia with the goal of creating a transport and logistics infrastructure that is more attuned to modern economic realities and the common desire to establish stable, efficient, and seamless freight flows. Russia offers partners the prospect of strengthening regional connectivity and building a continent-wide logistics framework in line with the implementation of President Vladimir Putin’s initiative to establish a Greater Eurasian Partnership. Which transport routes could form the basis of a new transport and logistics architecture for Eurasia? What is the impetus for connecting various transport corridors in the region? What political and economic barriers stand in the way of the establishment of seamless freight flows? What interaction formats are needed to strengthen spatial connectivity?
